About The Fort Foundation
Welcome to The Fort Foundation Community Justice Hub, a grassroots initiative driven by the passion and dedication of our community. We believe that meaningful change starts from the ground up. Since our inception, our organization has been sustained by the generous contributions of volunteers and the commitment of those who believe in equal access to justice.
The Fort Foundation Community Justice Hub is a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing community-based legal and justice programs to Albertans facing challenging circumstances.
Many families and individuals in Fort Saskatchewan and nearby rural communities struggle to navigate the legal system when they need it most. Our mission is to ensure that support, information, and resources are accessible and affordable to those in need.

Our Story
Our work began with the goal of supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship, particularly those facing barriers to legal support. Recognizing the deep connection between housing insecurity, financial struggles, and access to justice, the vision grew into creating a welcoming space where community members could receive the guidance and assistance they need.

The name Fort Foundation was chosen to symbolize strength, protection, and a solid foundation for individuals and families. Like a fort, our organization provides safety and support, while foundation reflects our commitment to lasting solutions that address the root causes of social issues.

2024 marks our first full year of official operations, yet the overwhelming response from the community has confirmed the significant need for accessible legal and justice services. With the generous support of the Alberta Ministry of Justice, we continue to expand our capacity and enhance our services to ensure that every individual has access to the justice system, regardless of their circumstances.

The Power of Volunteers
Our strength lies in the dedication of our volunteers. Their time, energy, and expertise make it possible to provide much-needed services to the community. Their unwavering commitment allows us to operate effectively and stay connected to those we serve.
